A recent report confirms that Apex Legends, which is quite popular on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, is now coming on mobile. Electronic Arts’ CEO Andrew Wilson today confirmed that the mobile version of the game is currently in the development phase and soon the battle royale game will hit the mobile platform. Wilson also shared that EA is even looking forward to launching the game in China.
“We are hugely excited about the future of Apex Legends … Engagement is strong, and we have big plans for the Legends and the world they compete in,” Wilson said. “We’re in advanced negotiations to bring Apex Legends to China and to mobile, and we will update you on time frames when those negotiations are concluded.”
The news regarding Apex Legends hitting mobile platform is no longer a surprise as already all big games have reached the platform, and the mobile market is already at its peak. Besides Apex Legends, other battle royale games that have reached the mobile platform are PUBG and Fortnite.
Wilson, in one his statements also shared that EA is also publishing the game in Korea, which is another important market for games. “The game offers an opportunity for us to build a direct connection with our players there, and we hope to be able to leverage this for other games,” Wilson said. Electronics Art and no other title from EA has ever gained such popularity that the game has gained so far. Recent data revealed that the game until now has reached to more than50 million players.
